Good morning!
On behalf
of the President’s Office, Public Service Management, I am honored to welcome
you all to this Office.
I
should say at the beginning, that we honor and appreciate so much the good
working relationship between JICA and the President’s Office, Public Service
Management
As
you are aware Japan is one of our best partners in development. Through JICA, the Government of Japan has had
long time cooperation with the Government of Tanzania especially in the area of
capacity building which is coordinated through this office. Through this Cooperation, Japanese Volunteers
have been able to share their skills, knowledge and experience in technical and
educational development Areas in Tanzania.
The president’s Office, Public Service Management appreciates and wishes
to sustain the cooperation and support received from the Government of Japan.
I
would like to thank you, the volunteers for agreeing to come to work in
Tanzania. I want to mention also that
the sectors you will be working on (Health, Education, community Development and
Communication science and Technology) are amongst the national priority areas
identified in the Five Year Development Plan 2001/12-2015/16. The Government of
Tanzania is looking forward to get your best contribution in the place of work
you will be working during your stay here Tanzania. Please be able to easily familiarize
yourselves with the Tanzanian culture and other social structures, be ready and
open to talk to people and seek solutions together with them in all projects
and ventures.
Let
me assure you that Tanzania is a beautiful country with nice food, a lot of
tourist attraction areas, friendly people, and I believe that you will have a
wonderful experience staying in the country.
I believe that you will learn much about Tanzania so that when you go
back to Japan after staying in Tanzania you will become good ambassadors of Tanzania. Thank you once again for coming to
Tanzania. Enjoy your stay and I wish you
all the best in your careers and life.
For
JICA, I would like to convey my greatest appreciation to the Government of
Japan through you, for the continued support and cooperation the JICA
Volunteers have continued to make to our country. I assure you that we are determined to continue
consolidating further bonds of our cooperation.
